GREAT NEWS!
Friends Furever Animal Rescue volunteers are now offering pet (cat, dog) microchips in the Treasure Valley (Ada County, Canyon County) at either in-home or convenient, central locations.
For a low, one-time charge of $30 (or lower costs at local vaccine clinics), we will insert and register a microchip for your pet at a day/time that is convenient for you. Your pet will feel more comfortable with the process if in your home or at a location without many other distractions.
Just complete an easy, online In-Home Microchip Registration form and submit your payment via any of the methods listed on our Ways To Help page with a note indicating "In-Home Microchip". A volunteer in your area will contact you to schedule a day/time that will work for both of you.
After the microchip is inserted, we register it and the registry (24Petwatch) sends you an email that you must acknowledge to complete the process of transferring it into your name. The registry is a great place to upload evidence of spay/neuter, vaccines, photographs, etc. If your pet is found by animal control and brought to a shelter, it will automatically be given vaccines (that you have to pay for) unless they see evidence in the microchip registry.
There are no annual membership fees or additional charges for this microchip.
